All, I recently "upgraded" from a Palm IIIx to a Handspring Visor Deluxe (screen on the IIIx went South. 8( ). As you might be aware, the Handspring Visor comes with a USB cradle. Has anyone had any success in getting a Linux box to sync-up with a Visor through the USB port? Any ideas are welcome. Best regards, Bill Smith Fall River, MA
I have done it, works great. I spent teh 20 bucks on teh serial cradle and found out i didnt' even need it. http://www.linux.org/docs/ldp/howto/mini/Handspring-Visor-2.html was very helpful. I use coldsync (its on freshmeat) very direct program and I like it. Orbitz William Smith wrote:

I've had some limited success, but only with the pilot-link command line utils. USB is kind of wierd, since the "serial port" only exists while the Visor is trying to connect. I'd reccomend is to spend the $20 or so, and just get a serial connection. -- Frank Sweetser fs at wpi.edu, fs at suave.net | $ x 15 Full-time WPI Network Tech, Part time Linux/Perl guy | I'd put my money where my mouth is, but my mouth keeps moving. -- Larry Wall in <199704051723.JAA28035@wall.org>
