Plus, since most HD content is recorded at a native resolution of 1080, watching it on a monitor with a physical resolution of 1080 (or multiple thereof) gives the best results. This is nice if you want to watch blue ray of HD streaming on you pc.

If you have a 1920x1200 monitor, there's no problem: just letterbox the 1920x1080 output.
