Thanks to all for letting me attend my first LUG! Dave Walsh from Redhat was a great speaker. I was just thinking about a topic for a future meeting. It was nice to meet all of you, but didn't get to discuss what distro/windows manager you all use, who you work for and how your company is productionalizing linux. We have linux deployed now and I am curious to know how ya'll have done it as noone else I know is using it.....yet! So my suggestion is a 5 minute intro for those who want to talk about who you are and how your company is using and support linux. just a thought. _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? I've had linux in a production environment for a manufacturing company now for 3-4 years. linux running manufacturing automation, and linux running samba filesever PDC, cups print, http, dns, dhcp, mysql., and automated backups. over the last few months, migrated all the machines from redhat 8 and 9 to Gentoo. Gentoo is working out great. Mike Leo wrote:
