Thanks for the help with realaudio. Now it is working fine. My next question concerns how the hostname is published. When I look at the DHCP clients table provided by my router software the windoze boxes have published their hostname correctly but my linux box has published an incorrrect name. When I look at /etc/HOSTNAME the name is 'zeus' however then name that shows up in the clients table is '80'. What am I missing? thx, --mike
