Re: [Wlug] Reliable Linux Laptop Vendor
I'm very new to Linux and I'm not a technical person. But I've learned enough about Linux to know it rocks (thanks Bob!) and to know I want a new Linux laptop. Can anyone recommend a reliable vendor? Replies off list are welcomed.
Thanks! Marie
Ihave just (Thursday) picked up my new Linux laptop from PCs forEveryone in Cambridge.. I bought my Linux desktop from them in April.Good quality, essentially custom made. I have SuSe Pro 10 on mine. They are at PCSFOREVERYONE.com, I think, and they're right near the Cambridgeside Galleria. HW

HW We busy a lot of systems from PCSFOREVERYONE.com preinstalled with Linux. They are very good and will test the whole system for incompatabilities. We recently bought our first laptop from them and it has been pretty good, but it has only had light duty for a few months now. I highly reccommend them.
PS if you are using it for meetings, you may not want to choose the Spartan laptop. The keys are a bit flimsy and lound but otherwise have good responsivness. Thanks Brian
