Heya - I reformatted my server and installed CentOS, but somehow I've fscked things up. I have a heterogeneous network that is about 40% winxp, 40% amigaos/morphos, and this server. In addition to the web stuff, I've considered making it a PDC for the win machines, but that's maybe just a dream. For a few days I could reach it, but now I can't, and from the server itself localhost doesn't seem to be working. It would take someone more familiar with linux minutes to straighten things out probably, but I just don't have a lot of time. I live in Sutton, about 10 miles from Worcester down Rt 146. I'm usually around Sat afternoons or Sundays, and usually have food and beer around, but not a lot of money. Maybe we can barter :) I do web stuff and windows system and network admin, plus some software development at Clark Univ. -- Pete Wason * Hy Noom Publications * 5088655414 * codevark@aim.com * codevark "Aborigine left speechless by steady disappearance of native dialects." -- The Onion
If this is a fresh system, I'd recommend you flatten & start over with CentOS 5.3, which is the current version, rather than trying to debug an old 4.7 version. Configuring smb can be a pain. Randy Pete Wason wrote:
