Just putting the finishing touches on my first gentoo linux installation. Took between 15 and 20 hours on a Dual PPro, it might have gone quicker, but the boot-cd's kernel doesn't support SMP. It's a pretty neat distro. James (Thanks to John)
I've been using gentoo since the earliest beta versions. Its an amazing distro and i have been very happy with it. I have actually done a few ebuilds myself. Its a very powerful distro with a lot of configuration options that can allow you to really customize your distro. Also the irc channel on openprojects has provided me with more help than any other distro i've tried (and I've triend plenty, over 50 at last count). just my $0.02 At 09:11 PM 8/5/2002 -0400, desdinova@soupforare.net wrote:
