I don't remember if it has an OS on there, but you can download various Linux distros or Sun Solaris for free to install. The 450 is a refrigerator sized box: http://sunsolve.sun.com/handbook_pub/Systems/E450/E450.html This is a standalone unit with the side panels and wheels. There is no rack and no rack mount kit with it. It plugs in using a single standard PC-style IEC electrical cord, but has redundant power supplies. You can pick this up during business hours 9am-5pm at the Network Operations Center, WPI Morgan Hall/Lower Wedge, next to the Access Grid where we hold the WLUG meetings. We can only take cash.
