Cool little set of scripts. They even come with that funky Desktop icon. What a luxury! Working through the scripts though it seems that the USB system does not see the USB device properly. Looking through some posts it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Kernel 2.4.21 will have the updated usbnet patch that will allow communication with the 5600. I expect I'll be able to make some minor mods to the zaurus_check script and it should work like a charm. Thanks! Arturo

From the looks of it, 5600 connectivity through usbnet is still pretty bleeding edge. Has anyone out there gotten the Zaurus SL-5600 connected with a linux desktop?
Sharp was not kind in getting compatibility with linux. Anyhow, if anyone has any pointers let me know.
Thanks Arturo
I have 5500 with Suse 8.2, sync with Qtopia running the Sharp package. Have been using right along in Suse 8.1, just installed it the other day with Suse 8.2. If you have trouble with Linux look at the file zaurus_check-1.0.

I would assume it could be helpful in automating the sync with the desktop for the 5600. Obviously I don't have a 5600 but this is what worked for me with a 5500.
