I am thinking of checking out the MIT Flea Market to be held on July 21 http://www.mitflea.com/ I've never been. Could any one tell me more about it? Do you recommend? Ron
It's not the sprawling bazaar it once was but if the weather's good, it's definitely worth checking out. Ham radio and computer gear, (primarily electronic) musical instruments and rack stuff, surplus, some new stuff. I like it for random bits and bobs that might not make sense to buy mail order after shipping, or used stuff I don't yet know I want, knobs, enclosures, etc. I don't like the, now, horrific parking situation and new higher rates for both buyers and sellers. Make sure you print out the flyer to save a buck. I'm not sure how much longer I'll keep going at six damn bucks, especially with gas where it is but I've been going since the 90s and inertia. You gotta go at least once. take care, soup On 7/13/2013 09:59, The Hammer wrote:

Thanks for reminding me. I have been wanting to go for a while. I'm interested in old/used/surplus electronics testing equipment (Oscilloscopes, Freq Counters, etc) do they sometimes have that there? take care, Rich

I haven't been to the flea in ages, but that's exactly the kind of stuff they had. -- Robert Krawitz <rlk@alum.mit.edu> MIT VI-3 1987 - Congrats MIT Engineers 5 straight men's hoops tourney Tall Clubs International -- http://www.tall.org/ or 1-888-IM-TALL-2 Member of the League for Programming Freedom -- http://ProgFree.org Project lead for Gutenprint -- http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net "Linux doesn't dictate how I work, I dictate how Linux works." --Eric Crampton
Thanks. Either way I would like to check it out at least once and see what it's all about. On Sat, Jul 13, 2013 at 1:15 PM, Robert Krawitz <rlk@alum.mit.edu> wrote:

Yep, definitely. Just a heads up there's also a great electronics surplus place in Manchester, NH. Take care, soup On 7/13/2013 13:10, killaken2000 . wrote:
