RE: [Wlug] Reminder: Meeting Thurs 7 PM
I wonder how many people are going to show considering NOAA is talking about 20 inches of snow for the area. Also, other than myself, who else intends to attend the Linux World Expo in Boston next week? Later, Tim. _____ From: wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org [mailto:wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org] On Behalf Of Robert Schwein Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 10:21 AM To: andystewart@comcast.net; Worcester Linux Users Group Subject: Re: [Wlug] Reminder: Meeting Thurs 7 PM Andy For us new guys, where is the "usual place"? Our guest speaker will be Scott Venier, a long time WLUG member, who will be discussing Vesta, a software configuration management system. Vesta is a portable SCM system targeted at supporting development of software systems of almost any size, from fairly small (under 10,000 source lines) to very large (10,000,000 source lines). It is both a revision control system and a build system. Vesta provides full automatic dependency detection and guarantees exact repeatability of any build. See ya there! I'll be going to Linux World on Wednesday and probably on Thursday since WPI was nice enough to plan academic advising day on thursday :) Chuck On Wed, 9 Feb 2005 11:18:26 -0500, Keller, Tim <Tim.Keller@stratus.com> wrote:

I'll be going all 3 days. BTW, if you plan on going Wednesday, the Boston Linux User Group, at: http://www.blu.org/ is scheduling a LinuxWorld "bull session" at MIT from 7pm to 9pm. Might be worth it to exchange ideas. It's a short walk from the Hynes. Ira --- Chuck Haines <chaines@gmail.com> wrote:
