Meeting on the 14th?
By my reckoning the next meeting is the 14th? If nobody has a topic idea I'd be willing to do a quick talk on "Python for sysadmins". Later, Tim. -- I am leery of the allegiances of any politician who refers to their constituents as "consumers".
Sounds like a good topic to me! -- Sent from my Android device with K-9 Mail. Please excuse my brevity. On August 4, 2014 5:03:09 PM EDT, Tim Keller <turbofx@gmail.com> wrote:

How about the 13th. I have an openstack meeting on the 14th. Also, python for sysadmins sounds interesting. Openstack is written in Python. At first, I judged Python to be a scripting language but after some digging, it has some very usefull features for writing large systems- for example, name scoping. -David On 08/04/2014 05:03 PM, Tim Keller wrote:

Excellent! I'll get cracking on my slides. I figure this will a bit of slides, round table and demos. I like the title: "Python: The Sysadmins Lightsaber" On Mon, Aug 4, 2014 at 5:31 PM, David Glaser <dglaser@glaserresearch.net> wrote:

I've thought a bit and I think I like: "Python: The Sysadmins Chainsaw Swissarmy Knife" even a bit better. Invariably someone will make a joke something like "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster..." Okay, I've updated the website and will send out an "official" announcement momentarily for Thursday, August 14 (unfortunately I cannot have the meeting on Wednesday). On Tue, Aug 05, 2014 at 01:32:24PM -0400, Tim Keller wrote:
