I just saw an article that the next version of ubuntu 16.04 is going to have ZFS built in!
I don't know what you guys take on it is, but I'll likely do a clean install to have ZFS as my root filesystem.
<SNIP> I've been using ZFS on linux (native, not FUSE, and mostly for root and all) for a bit now on my personal machines, first on Gentoo then on Ubuntu 15.04/15.10 (and now 16.04), and I've been pretty happy with it. The only problem I've had was it getting a bit unhappy in a memory constrained environment.. But that is pretty understandable given the feature set. And for the docker using folks out there, you can use the ZFS storage driver instead of using AUFS... Frank
