Hi Andy, I was thinking of attending the meeting tomorrow nite. I am a first-timer and was wondering whether I need id to get into the building, where to enter Morgan Hall for the best chance of finding the grid room, and where to park? thanks, Hope you all don't mind a newbie. jb -- Andy Stewart <andystewart@comcast.net> wrote: -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 HI gang, Wednesday, November 14th, 2007 7:00 PM Access Grid Room WPI Campus Worcester, MA USA That's where our next meeting will be held. Hi there, Welcome! The meetings are held in the Lower Wedge, which is between Daniels and Morgan Hall (buildings A and H), which you can see on the campus map: http://www.wpi.edu/About/Visitors/Images/walkingmap.pdf You don't need an ID to get into the area, and there should be plenty of parking on the quad area in front of the buildings. HI Conner, The January meeting will be held on Thursday, Jan 17th. The schedule for all of 2008 is posted on the WLUG website. From the main page, click the yellow "WLUG meetings" picture, and you'll be taken to the schedule (which is subject to change, but generally doesn't). -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 HI Everybody, I just posted the slides from last night's WLUG meeting. Thanks, Frank, for giving a great talk. http://www.wlug.org/slides.html I was quite happy that the meeting was so well attended! We had 25 people at the meeting - definitely one of the best attended meetings we've had in quite some time. Also, we darn near filled the pizza restaurant, consuming a record 7 large pizzas! I hope everybody had a great time. One last note - would the gentleman who was interested in getting the undergrads together to talk about Linux please contact me offline? I'd like to explore some ideas with you. Thanks!! I look forward to next month's meeting to see you again. I think his name was Kevin, and as of last night he wasn't on the mailing list, but I think he's on the IRC channel (#WLUGMA, IIRC). -- Rich
