Normally I try to refrain from posting links, especially since I'm sure a lot of people read LinuxToday, but this one was worth it. It's an excellent article on the whole 2.4 VM extravaganza, including the two implementations at war in the Linus and AC trees, kernel preemption, and some background information. It's a little biased towards the AA/Linus VM, but more informative than anything else.
