i can't speak for the latest Gateway systems, but i know that my Gateway Solo 9100 works nicely with Linux... i run RH8.0 on it... I've been using Linux on it since I got it, with RH7.2.

I checked out linux on laptops, but most of the models weren't even close so I figured I'd ask all of you...
