Hi gang, ACPI is FINALLY compiled into Mandrake's kernel; but I'm having a hitch. While the kernel will boot with acpi enabled every now and again, most times it gets to a point where keventd is called for and the kernel message is that it hasn't started yet. Any ideas what on earth might be happening? I'm going to the acpi list as well, but I'd see if any of you linux laptop users have had this problem (there are google hits for this problem, but I'm hitting a dead end there). Wes
