Andy, I also sent this message to WLUG but didn't see it in the Digest. Would like to see it included because it has more detailed info. are you the newbie?
not sure what you are looking for, but http://rute.2038bug.com/index.html.gz is a good read.
I also hang out at www.justlinux.com, and irc.freenode.net #justlinux and irc.oftc.net #penguinslair.
many people will also stear you towards www.google.com/linux as well as http://forums.gentoo.org/
are you looking for an actual linux class to attend, or just advise on how to get started?
let use know more specifically what you are looking for and I'm sure someone here can help you out.

Hi Doug, Since you cc'd the list, it should appear in the digest shortly. If it does not, please let me know and I'll investigate. I believe that the Night Life program in Worcester offers a class in Linux, taught by a WLUG member. However, I don't know what Night Life's policy is regarding a student's age. In addition, The Town of Chelmsford has a Community Education program which offers Linux classes (taught by another WLUG member), but that's probably too far away for you. Finally, you're always welcome to attend a WLUG meeting in Worcester. We're open to all ages and ability levels. Keep an eye on the meeting postings in case something of interest comes along. Later, Andy
