I installed a bad package from fedora over the weekend. xorg-x11.i386 6.8.2-1.FC3.45 There are a total of 13 packages that are associated with the upgrade. This also affects FC4. There is a beta fix that I hope to test tonight. DO NOT INSTALL THESE PACKAGES. If you have already installed the bad packages and are experiencing console lock-up, you can fight your way back by booting to single user mode, setting inittab to runlevel 3. At least your system will work at that level. Next, if you have another machine, you can get the old packages from fedora and downgrade (with the "--oldpackage" option). You can read about this at: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=168750 Bill
