indeed. i vaguely recall the modem setting up some redirect hacks such that people plugging in the modem for the first time would get redirected to the internal modem web page for all web sites. but it only really worked on the computer that was directly plugged into the modem, and for Windows users, and for the IE browser. luckily for me ive seen this kind of crap before (hotels' "automatic" network setups) so i could guess at the internal web pages rather than having to slug through another verizon tech call. hopefully your post saves someone else the verizon tech call too :) -mike
