This meeting is open to anybody with an interest in Linux. I'm still looking for a speaker for this meeting. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact me ASAP. If we don't have a speaker, we'll have to find a way to amuse ourselves. :-) Volunteer speakers get free food after the meeting. I recently received a large package from the Netherlands. It contains 100 Ubuntu Linux CD sets (version 4.10 from November 2004) to give away. Bring home 5 - 10 of them for your friends - I'm not kidding! Check out http://www.ubuntulinux.org for more information. Each set contains 2 CDs - one is a live eval CD similar to Knoppix, while the other one is used to install Ubuntu on your system. Feel free to stop in just to get some CDs (but I hope you'll stay for the meeting!). Ubuntu is Debian based with Gnome as the default desktop.
