This may be old news, but a friend of mine has upgraded his linksys router. This could be considered to be a "cheap computer" depending on what is is used for: If you wish you can check out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WRT54G -- kstratton@fastmail.us

Indeed! I've been using mine with DD-WRT (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DD-WRT) for a couple years now! Works amazingly. At the time, I wasn't impressed with OpenWRT, but DD-WRT seems to have a strange devel schedule, and I don't like their website. Might be time to try OpenWRT again... -- Aaron Haviland 34 Wayne Ave, Dudley, MA home: [508] 943 - 7974

Hello, {Accidently sent early :-P} I have a WRT54GL, on which I am planning to play with some of the free firmware distributions, but the WRTSL54GS looks more interesting. It has a faster processor, more RAM and, a USB 2.0 port. Connected to a dual drive enclosure, it could make a conveniently small file-server. Has anyone played with the WRTSL54GS? -Adam On 8/27/07, Aaron Haviland <orion@parsed.net> wrote:
