Hello all, I'm running Samba 3 as my PDC for a large number of computers. What I'd like to be able to do is push out patches and programs to the computers that are logged into this domain. I know that with SMS and Windoze Active Directory I can do this, however I don't want to use Windows as my PDC. Does anyone know of any software I can use to accomplish this with samba? thanks, Chuck -- Chuck Haines chaines@gmail.com ------------------------------------------- Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity http://www.tkezm.org WPI Class of 2005 http://www.wpi.edu ------------------------------------------- AIM: CyberGrex YIM: CyberGrex_27 ICQ: 3707881 -------------------------------------------
one thing that comes to mind is using sometype of login script, which i know smb supports. Not sure if you could get kickstart to work in smb...but maybe you could. I think you'd have to push the kickstart.exe to each desktop first, but im not sure. Not sure if this was helpful at all...it just popped into my head as i read your email. --- Chuck Haines <chaines@gmail.com> wrote:
