This may be a little late but you can use perl to do this the Net::LDAPS module will make secure connections and just use the Net::LDAP::Entry object to insert you data from linux to windows. On 4/20/05, Justin Odom wrote:

Why not just use ldap as your login authentication on linux? It can work similarly to nis. This sounds like active directory stuff...

Figured I'd throw this out there.

I am working on a project that requires me to push .ldf files from a linux server to a window 2003 server. Basically creating the same accounts on the linux system onto the windows system.

Does anyone know of linux program that is equivalent of the windows "ldifde" program? It needs to be able to create a secure connection with ldaps.
