Yes indeed, that's the date for the next meeting, and there is no speaker scheduled (yet) for this meeting. Any volunteers?
Failing that, I doubt folks would be interested in seeing a real XO laptop. ;-) I could bring one if people are interested. That would give me incentive to learn how to use most of the programs. However, there isn't any VGA output, so I don't know how to get the image on the screen where an audience could see it. VNC perhaps? I'm not sure. I'll play with it over the weekend. For external connections, the machine has USB ports, wireless (WEP only), microphone and speaker jacks.
I hope you're bringing enough for everybody. :) For VNC, if you can get it (I hope you'll spend a minute or two on the packaging system) or build it, "x11vnc" requires virtually no setup and lets you export your current X session to a VNC client, http://www.karlrunge.com/x11vnc/ -Jamie
