I, too, have been playing with VNC.  I use it to avoid running upstairs when the modem on my wife's win-me box goes down.  It does work very well.

I've been playing with this on my LAN for a couple months.

Unfortunately, since i'm currently looking for work, that's all i've
been doing with it: playing.  8\

Neat thing, though...  has Win* AND *nix client/server....  :D
