So funny enough another Mac fell into my lap and our success with Matt's mac encouraged me to get U22.04 installed on a 2014 macbook pro..

I tried to install using Ventoy only to hit this issue: https://github.com/ventoy/Ventoy/issues/52

I ended up writing the ISO directly to my scratch stick and installing from there.

Just a heads up if you end up tripping on this.
