I use one in Millbury. I live on a hill, have it mounted in my attic. I get about 30 stations. Most of the normal ones. Pretty sure I would get more if I mounted it on a post. And to Linux-ize this.. It is fed into a tvheadend server running on ubuntu on a RPi, which I then serve to Jellyfin running on a VM on my server. Has anyone in the list had any experience using an external HDTV antenna in Worcester?
Reason I ask is that we ditched the full spectrum tv channel lineup and went with a the abbreviated channel lineup. However, we are missing the local broadcast tv stations and I was wondering it I could pick up some of them using an external antenna.
I searched the web for information but I do not have enough of a radio background to understand the meaning of the signal strength tables that I find.
A while ago I purchased an interior antenna and did not have any luck so I figure that I might try an external antenna.
Any help would be appreciated.
