Thanks, everyone.  I have learned allot.

 

I have eight computers in my home office.  One is a SUN ULTRA 1,  the rest are various makes and models of PC desktop machines.  On these I have Windows plus Linux (Aurora and Red Hat Fedora.   Why do I have these machines?  That's what my wife asks.  Maybe in my dotage I have become victim to a hoarding syndrome

 

I am trying to get organized so I purchased a "IOGEAR 8-Port KVM Switch Kit, PS/2,with KVM Cables (GCS78KIT)" from amazon.com.  They gave me free shipping and handling. 

 

My conclusion after reading this thread is that I need one "13W3-to-VGA" adapter to connect the ULTRA to the KVM switch.  Stephen Thamel has one available.

 

Have I got it all straight?
