I've used the Linux Terminal Server distro before. (http://www.ltsp.org/) It's a bit of work to setup, but keeping the clients working is a piece of cake. --Skip -----Original Message----- From: wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org [mailto:wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org] On Behalf Of Bob George Sent: Monday, May 02, 2005 10:21 AM To: wlug@mail.wlug.org Subject: [Wlug] SOHO LAN & Multiuser Desktops I'm successfully using NIS+NFS for a small SOHO LAN serving 4 desktops, a server and printer, plus associated networking. I'm wondering, though, if there's an easier approach to configuring a "Windows replacement" multi-user setup. I do have printing, file sharing and "roaming profiles" working fine, but it's a bit cumbersome so far. Is anyone working with an approach that might be simpler... particularly one well integrated into an existing desktop distribution? - Bob _______________________________________________ Wlug mailing list Wlug@mail.wlug.org http://mail.wlug.org/mailman/listinfo/wlug
