I ran reiserfsck --rebuild-tree --rebuild-sb --fix-fixable and it found some bad leaf node indexes and some orphaned files. The file system seems to be intact. What utility will check for bad blocks?
When messing around with the filesystem allways a good idea to make backups, just incase.
I would continue to expore the reiserfsck option. possibly one or more of the options: --rebuild-tree --rebuild-sb --fix-fixable
What does reiserfsck --check do?
have you run a badblocks check on the device?
