[Wlug] Topic idea

Is there any interest in a linux fundamentals talk? It seems like I am the noobi'est member of the lug and don't want to bore everyone, but a discussion around basic installs (partitioning, swap size, boot loaders, etc), upgrades (apt, yum, emerge), application installs (rpm's, source) and kernel patching and upgrades would be a good nights discussion.
