sorry for the confusion. I am using nvidia.com supplied driver. NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run to be more spesific. today, I downloaded and installed an updated version (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4496-pkg2.run) hoping it might solve the problem. baris
