Keith, Just a heads up, but editing Video is a very memory and cpu hungry task. I've tried it on and off for years on my Linux systems using various tools and it was always a chore. I've tried 'openshot' in the past, and in the way way past I tried 'cinelerra', but it was pretty bad then. I think I tried 'kedenlive' as well. But I'm honestly not a good video editor and it was frustrating on an under-powered system. But these days might be better, especially if you are using a more bleeding edge linux distro like Fedora or Ubuntu or Linux Mint.
