I suspect the amount you would pay at the animal shelter would PALE
next to what you are going to pay for vet bills, spaying/neutering
(usually done around 6 mos as I recall), food, etc.  So despite your

But for another source, people are giving away kittens all the time
on Worcester freecycle.  Its a Yahoo groups thing, which totally
sucks balls, but I have found good stuff on there from time to time.
