I need a blue tooth interface for my PC, and wondering if anyone has any brands, or hardware chip sets to recommend.
I will probably buy a USB or PCMCIA interface. Buying something USB though would allow me to use it in both my desktop and laptop, where only my laptop has PCMCIA.
Bluetooth devices i want to hook too, claims it is something like rs-232 serial output over bluetooth, but i gota figure that out. After that i may try with a digicam or mobile phone.
I've used a Belkin F8T001 v2.11 successfully, and transferred images from a Concord GoWireless camera, and a friend's mobile phone. <rant> I think it was a Motorola V557 (or similar), but it was on Cingular service, which doesn't disable BlueTooth OBEX features, unlike certain other services, http://www.nuclearelephant.com/papers/v710.html </rant> I also have an IOGear dongle that I use with a mouse in my living room setup, http://www.buy.com/prod/IOGear_Bluetooth_1_2_USB_Adapter_CL_2_Range_66FT_Fre... http://www.buy.com/prod/Kensington_PilotMouse_Mini_Bluetooth_72414/q/loc/101... I'm prety sure you can run any protocol (HID, serial, etc.) over the dongle. -Jamie
