Gigabyte is usually a good bet, but I'm sure the crack monkeys who write the firmware and setup the menus weren't thinking well that day. In any case, I think you need to make sure that you boot into Win10, shrink the C:\ drive and leave free space on the disk. The in the mint installer you need to select the custom disk partitioning scheme, since you need to find and select the space by hand. Gary> Thanks for the BLOG link. Looks interesting. I'll check it out. It is interestingm, though I suspect not directly applicable in this case. You're closer now, which is good! You really really really need to give more details here, otherwise no one will be able to help you.
For example, can you install and boot linux Mint by itself without any problems on this board?
I assume you can do the same with Windows 10 as well, right?
So did you install Win10 first, then shrink it and install the new bootloader to let you choose between Win10 and Mint? But it broke both I suspect.

Check with your vendor for an updated BIOS. Some have bugs where they have locked things down too much, and don't provide a good way around it as I recall. Haven't had to make this leap myself yet...

Can't tell really, since you don't give any details. I'd say it's possible, but you might need to tweak your UEFI BIOS to allow non-signed keys to boot.
Have you looked at ...uum.... Mathew Wilcox? He's the Linux EUFI maintainer and has a blog out there on stuff like this. Oh wait, it's Mathew Garret. Take a look at his blog:
It might have some pointers.
But please, more details would help us help you.
