Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but to play music from computer to stereo, you just need the right combination of cables and mini-jack to RCA converter, and go from the headphone/speaker jack on the computer to some input of the stereo. (I'm using Tape In) Use your favorite software mixer to make sure you have the right channels unmuted and turned up. If you want to play stuff on the stereo and record it on the computer, it gets a little more complicated, but it's still pretty easy. Tape Out to Mic, and record with Audacity or Ardour or something else that I don't know. (Maybe Gramofile if you like CLI.) Greg On 07/03/2010 08:18 AM, Gary Hanley wrote:
Is it me or is there no good solution to streaming your OGG and FLAC music files to your home stereo from Linux.
Even the Windows solutions seem sparse and are usually proprietary.
I have wanted to do this for a long time and every time I start googling for a solution I come up empty.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I would appreciate your comments.
Thanks, and Happy 4th!
