What does lsmod show? Also, are you rolling your own kernels or using stock disro ones? I'm not familiar w/aurora
Aurora is a Linux distro for SPARC-based systems. It is based on the Fedora SRPMs. The second "stable" build of Aurora (2.0) is based on Fedora Core 3, and the Corona Tree is an almost feature complete tree based on Fedora Core 6. (This, according to the Aurora Status notes.) You can find more info on Aurora and download it at http://auroralinux.org/ . Bill Smith Fall River, MA Charter Member of LOPSA

I have a Sparc Ultra 1 which has been running flawlessly since 2003 running Ansel 2.4.20-2.3sparc.
Last week after a nine day power outage the system no longer activates eth0, the TPE ethernet interface.
I installed a -->
Sun 501-5443 x1049A quad 4-port SBus Fast Ethernet card
The operating system does not recognize this new hardware.
This system has been running so flawlessly for at least four years that I have forgotten much of what I had learned about Aurora.(I am an elderly man by high tech standards).
The little green input light corresponding to the port to which I have attached the fast ethernet cable does illuminate.
Where do I start?
