what util does mandrake use for dhcp ? slackware uses dhcpcd, and its trivial to specify timeout with it ... dhcpcd -t 10
Just for reference, Mandrake includes dhcpcd (my preference), dhclient, and pump, and leaves it up to the user to figure out which works best for them. -b
