I have been the moderator for a Mailman list running on FreeBSD for a
few years.
This afternoon I received an email from a list member informing me that
any and all of the emails that have transpired are available for the
public to see via altavista or google. All that is needed is a couple
of key words that are in the mail text.
Here is an example of what is available. Go to google and type in as
key words,
["Where we live" Mahood Geneseo]
The following appears.
<www.employees.org/pipermail/york_fifty_two/2004-September/000253.html>
If you go there and click on [Messages sorted by [Thread]] you get a
complete archive.
I had never heard of pipermail 0.09. Do you all know what it is, how
it works and how to disable it?
