The official samba how-to is really good, you might want to take a look at it... http://us3.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-Guide/ The HOWTO by Example goes through a number of scenarios and explains how to setup servers to fit specific needs (inculding CUPS and LDAP)... -Jared On 5/11/05, Chuck Noyes <vze284qe@verizon.net> wrote:
Hi all,
At work, there are several workstations and servers (about 15) running Win2k, Win2k Server, and WinXP. I also have a server running SuSE 9.1 that has Samba 3.0.4 installed. I'm wondering if anyone out there has used Samba as a Primary Domain Controller in a Windows environment? Can Samba be used as a BDC (Backup Domain Controller)?
What are the pit-falls? ... Any "war" stories? ... Advice??
Thanks, -Chuck
