Well, in my recollection, the 20B is the grey "dumb" cable, and the 24C is the black "smart" cable. The Matrix is, I believe, essentially just a big SmartUPS. I would try using the 24C cable, then downloading PowerChute from the APC website (www.apcc.com). I'm currently using it on a SM700 and it works pretty well. Never messed around with a MatrixUPS before, so ...
