I thought you wanted to share an X session between two computers (which you can use x0rfbserver for). What you want is very easy. Just use the regular X server, not Xnest, and start it on a different VT than normal: X -geometry 1280x1024 -query removteXserver :1 vt8 Then you can switch using ctrl-alt-f7 and ctrl-alt-f8. -- Charles R.
