Thanks for listening. Thanks for the sympathy. I had Fedora Core 4 on a machine with a powerless power supply. I added that 30G hard drive to the 150G on this machine and booted from it. Low and Behold. CUPS works. SAMBA works. Will wonders never cease... I even get to choose between GNOME and KDE. Ken
