Hi All,
Quick question: Is buying a USB flash drive device for Linux something that needs a bit of research? Or, by and large, will any old device work? I've got Suse Linux 9.3 installed on an HP Omnibook 6100.
Thanks, Doug
I always check here for starters: http://www.qbik.ch/usb/devices/ I had a USB flash device that didn't work, but that was a while ago. I returned it and got one that was mentioned on the website (above) and have had no problems since. I'd recommend some care with cameras. My Logitech camera uses the pwc driver which has minor issues with Linux. Maybe the USB 2.0 devices fare better.
