Some random ideas about possible meeting spaces. I'm in Middlesex County so I don't know how possible these are in Worcester:
Many restaurants have separate rooms which can be used for meetings if some food gets ordered. I personally dislike this as it is hard to eat and take notes at the same time. No support for concurrent remote attendees.
https://nescitech.org/ is a potential host. I hear they have a good setup for meetings that are both in person and remote. My ham radio club sometimes meets here. Given that Linux qualifies as STEM, we should be acceptable here. The problem is that here is in Natick, not Worcester. Maybe there is something like this closer to WLUG's center of gravity.
Many public libraries have meeting rooms and good wifi. I went to Raspberry Pi meetups at the Shrewsbury Public Library a few years ago. The hard thing is getting on the calendar with a reserved meeting room. Room reserver likely needs to be a resident of the library's town.
If we have a presentation of interest to their students, a local high school might host one meeting.
Consider not always meeting in the same place. I'm an office in a Ham Radio club that no longer has a regular meeting place. We have members throughout Eastern Mass. For our members it is a benefit to meet in various towns. We have used most of the above for meetings.
I have given talks to other ham radio clubs that meet in a church basement and in the local senior center.
