It turned out that there was a file that was a soft link to another in that directory. I guess that that confused windows. I would have expected windows to copy all but that linked file, but nooooo!!! it had to fail with a very nondescript error that was useless. <sarcasm>I just love windows</sarcasm> Mike
on the linux system checkt he permissions of the sub directories.. Have read and execute permmmisions?
