Sorry - I thought you were trying to build the module. How about kernel.src packages? -----Original Message----- From: wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org [mailto:wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org]On Behalf Of Don Levey Sent: Monday, December 04, 2006 9:18 AM To: Worcester Linux Users Group Subject: Re: [Wlug] Fedora Core 6 kernel source??? Perhaps the kernel-headers package will help? -Don -----Original Message----- From: wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org [mailto:wlug-bounces@mail.wlug.org]On Behalf Of ken jones Sent: Sunday, December 03, 2006 10:04 PM To: wlug@mail.wlug.org Subject: [Wlug] Fedora Core 6 kernel source??? I have a SoundBlaster Live sound card. The driver is emu10k1. ALSA provides some modules that need to be built into the kernel. No matter what I do the builds can not find the appropriate version.h file. I am trying to build the kernel from kernel-devel-2.6.18-1.2849.fc6. Previous Core versions provided a kernel-source rpm. Core 6 does not. This time it is called kernel-devel. Something is very different. Can any of you point me to a cook book level WEB page that will point my way... _______________________________________________
