IIRC, the TLS stuff is related to encrypted communications, which you probably broke when compiling openssl. You either have a botched openssl install now, or you may just need to recompile ftp (and anything else that uses it) against the new openssl. -- Frank Sweetser fs at wpi.edu WPI Network Engineer
